Privacy Policy — Gairik Work Watch
1. Who controls your data
Gairik Work Watch is provided to you by your employer as a workforce attendance tool. Your organization's admin is the controller of the attendance, leave, and WFH data collected through the app; this app and its operator process that data on your organization's behalf.
2. Information we collect
Account information you or your admin provide (name, email). Authentication session data. GPS coordinates and accuracy, captured only while attendance tracking is active. Break, check-in, and check-out timestamps. Leave and work-from-home request details you submit. App foreground/background state, used to send periodic heartbeat pings while a session is active.
3. When location is collected
Location is collected only while you have started attendance, including while the app runs in the background. It stops the moment you stop attendance. If mock/fake GPS is detected, tracking is blocked and no further location is sent until it is disabled. The app does not collect your location when you are signed out or not checked in.
4. How your information is used
To verify and record attendance, compute work duration, and support leave/WFH approvals. To show your organization's admin that you are active on their live monitor while checked in. To let you edit your profile and manage your password and account.
5. Where data is stored
Your authentication session and basic profile are cached on your device (local app storage) so you stay signed in. Attendance, location, leave, and WFH records are transmitted over HTTPS and stored on servers operated for your organization.
6. Data sharing
Data is shared with your employer/organization admins for workforce management and compliance purposes only. We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for advertising.
7. Data retention
Attendance, leave, and WFH records are retained according to your organization's policies. Deleting your account removes your local session immediately; retention of historical records on the server follows your organization's data policy.
8. Your choices
Stop attendance at any time to stop location collection. Use the Break toggle to pause tracking without ending your session. Revoke location/notification permissions from your device Settings — note this will prevent attendance from working correctly. Edit your profile, change your password, or delete your account from the Settings screen.
9. Security
Requests to our servers are authenticated with a bearer token and sent over HTTPS. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.
10. Contact
For questions about how your data is used, contact your organization's admin or data protection contact.
